![]() After a brief scuffle with members of the Hawkins High basketball team at the old Creel House, Erica and her friends were able to fend off Vecna, but were unable to prevent four gates to the Upside Down being opened. Later, she is informed of an entity called Vecna murdering teens around Hawkins where she joined her friends and brother in attempting to murder Vecna. When Lucas's basketball games interfere with Hellfire Club, Mike and Dustin are desperate to find a substitute player - and Erica may just be the dark horse they need. In the spring of 1986, Erica's skills at Dungeons & Dragons rival those of the Hawkins High teens. ![]() Three months later, Erica is given Dungeons & Dragons sets by Dustin and Lucas. After escaping the base, she soon assists her brother and friends stopping the Mind Flayer. Though Erica is initially in denial, Dustin tells her to embrace her nerdy nature. While assisting Dustin, she soon discovers that she holds nerd-like qualities with her love of My Little Pony, politics, and skills in math. ![]() This simple task proves to be anything but, as the quartet discover a large Russian base underneath the mall attempting to open a portal to another dimension, a portal she discovers her brother and friends have battled to keep closed for the last two years. Erica agrees in exchange from free ice cream for life. She is soon asked by Steve, Robin, and Lucas' best friend Dustin Henderson to climb through the mall's vents to investigate the mall's supplies that withhold Russian weapons. In the summer of 1985, following the town's Starcourt Mall opening, Erica would spend her days with her posse of friends harassing Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington for free ice cream samples at the mall's ice cream parlor, Scoops Ahoy. Stranger Things season 4 part one is available now, and part two will release July 1 – all streaming on Netflix.Erica Sinclair, portrayed by Priah Ferguson, is a main character in Stranger Things, being introduced in the second season as a recurring role before being promoted to the main cast from the third season onward. There's no America without Erica, after all. Let's hope she's back in the fold for the last two episodes and that they finally use this firecracker of a character to her full potential. Thankfully, in episode seven, she was finally brought back on board, reuniting with her Scoops Troop team mates and teaming up with Dustin and Lucas to bring back Steve, Robin, Eddie and Nancy after their slip into the Upside Down. Now, this may be a little counterintuitive given this absolutely rammed season is already two dozen central characters deep in their own plotlines and developments, but seeing as Erica was such a standout in season three, we would have hoped she would have been given a little more airtime this time around. Far more useful than some members who have been there since the beginning. She didn't just become a fun member of the group, there to lighten the mood with a sassy comment, she was a useful one too. After all, she's not even hit seventh grade yet, why would she be the one that holds all the answers?īut to have her largely uninvolved in the bigger story feels like a step back from what we came to know and love of her during her time in season three. It was always built into Erica's make-up that she would be easily ignored or dismissed by her older but not wiser peers. Relegated to being part of the Hawkins furniture, she did little more than appear for some witty one-liners, or in one case tried to school the entire town when Satanic Panic started settling in amid the rise in horrifying teenage deaths. ![]() But after a stellar introduction that appeared to line Erica up as Lucas' key replacement at Dustin's side, she just… disappeared.
